We are looking for a candidate to help us continue our growth across tech on Cycling Weekly, both online and in print. News is key to our output, so you will have your fingers on the pulse of the cycling industry and latest releases - noticing a new crankset on Team Ineos' latest bike or a new curious patent in Shimano's name.

Alongside news, our buyer's guides and reviews are designed to provide essential information to people in the market to buy cycling products. You will need to be a first-rate writer and tester, with up-to-date digital skills and a working knowledge of review formats and objective testing environments.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the Cycling Weekly Editors, as Tech Writer you will create content that reviews, rates and recommends cycling products, and breaking news in tech. From road bikes and wheelsets to saddles, group sets and power metres, you will become one of the world's foremost experts on the road and gravel bike sector. To get ahead of our competitors regarding online traffic and test samples, you'll also need to develop PR contacts.

  • Sub-editing skills
  • Experience writing high-quality engaging review-based content
  • An existing understanding of SEO best practices and the ability to quickly develop these skills
  • Experience using Google Analytics, to report on and inform content strategies
  • Experience of content management systems
  • Interpret and use audience behavioural data
  • Photography and photo-editing skills
  • An understanding of the tech used in bicycles, and cycling clothing and accessories
