About the role: Facilities & Maintenance Officer

Activate Learning are now recruiting for a Facilities & Maintenance Officer to join our team based at Oxford college. In this role, you will ensure that the College premises and facilities provide a safe, clean and secure environment that supports teaching and learning. No two days will be the same, from unlocking the site and conducting office moves to general maintenance such as repairs, painting, and decorating, while also representing the P&E team for evening campus activities, monitoring campus security, overseeing closing processes, handling ad hoc P&E tasks, setting up and clearing up events, supporting external customers, and ensuring the smooth operation of the campus. This role is full time, permanent based at Oxford college. We also offer opportunities for overtime and weekend work.

What do you need to be a successful Facilities & Maintenance Officer at Activate Learning?

  • You will bring a positive, solution focused attitude and work well in a team to deliver a customer focused facilities support service.
  • You will be a good problem solver with the ability to think on your feet.

  • Ability to carry out basic maintenance tasks/DIY experience
  • Understanding of Health and Safety procedures
  • Previous experience in a facilities or estates role is desirable, but not essential
