Team/Role Overview
Accountable for managing complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. This will involve leading and directing a team of professionals whilst having a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within the function and how they interact to achieve the overall objectives. You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of services to one or more businesses/geographic regions, while communicating effectively to negotiate internally and externally. Exercising control over resources, policy formulation and planning, involved in short-to medium-term planning of actions and resources and full management responsibility of multiple teams.
What You’ll Do
- Supports the planning and ongoing reporting across a complex portfolio/program
- Establishes and maintains benefits management and associated sign-offs
- Supports adherence across portfolio/program of adherence to Citi PM standards and policies
- Aligns portfolio/program of work to Citi's investment management process to support funding requirements for transformation
- Supports wider department to define and embed continued efficiency and coherency of best practice
- Applies comprehensive understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
- Ensures program plans meet business needs as described in the program initiation documents.
- Ensures all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities.
- Ensures program stakeholders receive schedule status regularly.
- Ensures funding has been approved for the program.
- Ensures all areas of the program have identified staffing requirements
- Establishes necessary framework to ensure program risks and issues are escalated to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor
- Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations, and other personnel actions where applicable
- Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
What We’ll Need From You
- Working in Markets, aligned to Derivatives and Equities program of work
- Experience of supporting programs sponsored by a Markets Operations function
- Demonstrable experience of establishing a reporting and governance structure to support senior level reporting across a complex portfolio/program
- Commercial awareness is a necessity
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience is preferred
