The Role: Woodside Motorfreight is one of the leading finished vehicle distribution companies in the UK and Ireland. An opportunity has arisen to join the experienced Transport team based at the Ballynure HQ. The company offers a unique opportunity to work in the leading vehicle transportation business in Northern Ireland operating in a very dynamic industry. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work well under pressure and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
Responsibilities include:
- Full involvement in the planning & co-ordination of a large fleet of car transporters and drivers, distributing cars, vans and HGVs throughout the U.K. and Ireland.
- Co-ordination and management of drivers while ensuring compliance with Road Traffic and Working Time laws.
- Booking shipping space utilising the most cost and time effective routes available on the Irish Sea.
- Ensuring fleet is available for planned servicing and maintenance.
- Ensuring strict customer KPI's are achieved.
- Keeping Customer Services staff updated on changes and delays.
- Communication with Directors on a daily basis.
The successful candidate will participate in out of hours mobile telephone cover which is operated on a rotational basis with other colleagues.
Rate of pay: Competitive, dependent on experience

- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a fast-paced and dynamic office environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure seamless teamwork and coordination.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Adaptability and resilience under pressure, with the ability to prioritise workload in response to changing demands.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and contributing to team success.
- Competent in the use of computers and standard office software, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in a Transport / Haulage business traffic office.
- Whilst weekend working is not ordinarily part of the role, flexibility and willingness to cover in the event of absences would be beneficial.
