Your Opportunity: Join a highly experienced and mission-driven team as a Project Developer, taking the lead on utility-scale wind and solar projects from origination through to operation. Reporting to the VP of Development, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional Subject Matter Experts to guide all stages of development, ensuring regulatory compliance and technical success in one of the fastest-growing markets in clean energy.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from prospecting through execution.
- Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, integrating SME input across legal, engineering, permitting, and energy assessment.
- Secure land rights for project development, including construction and long-term operations.
- Manage all permitting activities at local, state, and federal levels.
- Build and maintain relationships with utilities, regulatory bodies, and local stakeholders.
- Oversee interconnection studies and negotiate key commercial agreements.
- Prepare and submit proposals to utilities and other offtake partners.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate progress internally.
- Support financial modelling and viability assessments in collaboration with analysts.
- Contribute to achieving project volume, revenue, and margin targets.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline (advanced degree preferred).
- At least 5 yearsβ experience in renewable energy project development, with proven experience in wind.
- Deep knowledge of permitting, land acquisition, interconnection, and regulatory processes.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and align SME input with project goals.
- Strong project management skills across budget, scheduling, and risk management.
- Confident communicator, capable of navigating stakeholder discussions at all levels.
- Analytical, detail-oriented mindset with a focus on solution-oriented delivery.
