A young man living at home with his dad and their friendly dog requires a reliable, caring personal assistant to join his small, dedicated team. He has complex health needs, including the use of a PEG and non-invasive ventilation to support his breathing, and requires 24/7 care and support.
The role involves working one day shift and one night shift per week, with the possibility of additional hours to cover annual leave and sickness. Shifts are well-structured, and support is always nearby if needed. The care provided is a mix of clinical and personal support, including help with daily routines, personal care, monitoring of equipment, and accessing the community.
The ideal candidate will live locally and be able to commit to regular shifts, with some flexibility to help cover holidays or sickness if needed. Experience with PEG care or non-invasive ventilation is not required as full training will be provided. Candidates should be confident, attentive, and willing to learn. Comfort in a home environment and respect for routines is essential, as well as being good with dogs.
Benefits:
- 5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro-rata for part-time positions).
- Company pension scheme after 3 months service, subject to the scheme rules.
- Opportunity to join our Cash Back Health Plan, after successful completion of the probation period.
- Free training and development for all roles.
- Access to wellbeing and support tools.
- Star of the Month rewards and Long Service Awards.
- And so much more!
