Come and join us as a Finance Analyst to work alongside our Finance Manager to support our ever-growing Rebates Finance team.
The Senior Customer Rebate Analyst is responsible for the management and administration of customer rebate programs, ensuring accurate calculation, processing, and payment of rebates in accordance with contractual agreements. This role involves complex rebate calculations, data analysis, dispute resolution, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Senior Analyst also identifies opportunities for process improvement and ensures compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Rebate Program Management: Manage the end-to-end customer rebate process, from agreement setup to payment disbursement. Ensure accurate interpretation and application of rebate agreements and contracts. Calculate complex customer rebates based on various factors such as sales volume, product mix, and performance targets. Monitor customer performance against rebate targets and proactively communicate with stakeholders regarding potential issues or opportunities. Prepare and process rebate payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse large datasets to validate rebate claims, identify trends, and ensure program effectiveness. Develop and maintain accurate records of rebate agreements, transactions, and payments. Generate regular reports on rebate program performance, including accruals, pay-outs, and variances. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimise rebate programs and minimise financial risk.
- Dispute Resolution and Customer Communication: Investigate and resolve customer rebate disputes and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner. Serve as the primary point of contact for complex customer rebate enquiries. Communicate rebate program details, changes, and updates to internal and external stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and internal teams (e.g., Sales, Finance, Legal).
- Process Improvement and Compliance: Identify opportunities to streamline and automate rebate processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Develop and maintain documentation of rebate processes, procedures, and controls. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and legal regulations related to rebates. Participate in internal and external audits related to customer rebates.
- Team Leadership and Mentoring (If applicable): Supervise and mentor junior rebate analysts or assistants, as needed. Delegate tasks, provide guidance, and support the development of team members. Ensure team adherence to established processes and deadlines.

Skills and competencies
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Big Query)
- Project management skills
- Supervisory or team leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2 years of experience in a customer rebates, finance, or accounting role, with a focus on rebate administration
- Strong understanding of rebate concepts, calculations, and administration
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis tools (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
