What will you be doing?
The Technical Support Technician – Broadcast will support the Engineering, Operations, and Sales teams by providing hands-on technical assistance across a range of DTC/DBS broadcast products. This includes configuring and testing systems, supporting customer demonstrations, and helping to ensure products are manufactured, tested, and delivered to the highest standard. The role will involve assisting with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting the setup of demonstration equipment, and responding to technical queries from both internal teams and customers. The ideal candidate will also contribute to system documentation and help maintain internal test environments. This position offers the opportunity to develop a strong technical foundation in RF systems, IP networking, and video/audio transmission technologies, while gaining experience working in a customer-focused, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting Engineering and Operations teams by configuring and testing systems to ensure robust, working solutions.
- Assisting with verification of new features and identification/resolution of known bugs and issues.
- Providing remote technical support to customers, guiding them through product configuration and troubleshooting.
- Managing and maintaining test bench systems and demo equipment inventory.
- Supporting the Sales team with technical queries and documentation using internal ticketing systems.
- Participating in live demonstrations, including system setup, integration, and operation at customer sites.
- Liaising with internal teams, including attending project, operations, and engineering meetings.
- Contributing to the continual improvement of documentation, support processes, and internal systems.
About You
The ideal candidate will bring a foundational understanding of RF, IP networking, and broadcast systems, with a willingness to develop hands-on technical skills in a dynamic environment. A proactive and adaptable approach will be key, as well as an enthusiasm for learning new technologies and supporting a broad range of customer and business needs. Some previous experience in technical support, electronics, or system testing is preferred, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team. This role is well-suited to individuals looking to grow within a technically focused role and contribute to a high-performing support team. This role requires candidates to undergo UK Security Clearance and be prepared to travel as needed but not more than 10%.
