Package Description

  • ROLE: Male Support Worker - UK Drivers Only
  • LOCATION: Kings Norton, Birmingham
  • SALARY: £12.60 - £13.30 per hour
  • HOURS: 35 hours a week (flexible as we have part-time positions available)

Please note we require a Male support worker due to a genuine occupational requirement for the person we are supporting making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking Full Time Support Workers to join our AMAZING supportive team at Maple Leaf Lodge in King's Norton, Birmingham. Maple Leaf Lodge supports up to 13 adults with complex needs, including profound and multiple learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour.

As a Support Worker, You Will Be Involved In The Day To Day Support And Routine Of The People Within The Service Including:

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
