Driver Class 2 - Car Transporter Operator

Overview

Driver Class 2 – Car Transporter Operator role at Woodside Logistics Group. Location: Ballynure. Contract: Permanent. Shift patterns: 4 on 4 off (Mon – Fri).

Role

Based at our Headquarters in Ballynure you will be inspecting & transporting customer cars, mainly to private and business addresses, around Northern Ireland whilst meeting Company, customer and legal requirements. The 4 on 4 off shift pattern allows for better work life balance whilst still having a fulfilling career in the transport industry.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and transport customer cars, primarily to private and business addresses in Northern Ireland.
• Comply with Company policies, customer requirements and legal regulations.
• Operate transporter equipment and related processes as part of a one-on-one training program with Driver Trainers.

Rates of Pay

4 on 4 off – Basic (40 hrs/week): £15.24. Overtime after 40 hours: £16.45.

Essential Criteria

• Class 2 (C) licence.
• Digital tachograph card and Driver CPC qualification card.
• Well-presented, professional with excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Familiar with in-car infotainment systems and hand-held devices (tablets & smartphones).
• Able to maintain a good standard of driving; clean license preferable but up to 6 points acceptable.
• Able to demonstrate right to work in the UK.
• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Full flexibility, including nights away when required.

Desirable Criteria

• Previous experience in the automotive industry.

Training

Full training on transporter equipment and all aspects of the role is provided on a one-to-one basis with a Driver Trainer.
