Role Description: This is a full-time on-site role for a Class 1 Day/Night Driver at STUART NICOL TRANSPORT LTD. The position is located in Ecclefechan. The Class 1 Driver will be responsible for driving trucks, adhering to delivery schedules, ensuring the safe transportation of goods, and maintaining vehicles. Drivers must comply with all local traffic regulations and company policies. They will also be required to communicate effectively with traffic controllers and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Night drivers will be required to drive to one of the pallet hubs in the Midlands, unload/reload, and return to Ecclefechan.
- Day drivers will be required to drive to the Central Belt, drop a trunk, perform local deliveries, and then take the trunk back later that day.
Qualifications:
- Truck driving experience and possession of a valid Driver CPC card.
- Experience operating and maintaining trucks.
- Knowledge of traffic regulations.
- Ability to handle paperwork related to deliveries.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Newly passed drivers are welcome.
- Experience in the transportation industry is a plus.
