What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who understands the power of media — not for promotion, but for connection, understanding, and change. You’ll have experience working in or with the media and know how to spot and shape a story that matters. This role is ideal for someone who can help us share the real voices behind our work — those of neurodivergent young people, and our team who are creating inclusive pathways into tech and wellbeing.
You might be:
- A current or former journalist, editor, or producer.
- A PR professional with experience securing coverage for charities, campaigns or community organisations.
- A media officer or comms specialist at a nonprofit or social enterprise.
- A freelancer or publicist with strong writing skills and an interest in inclusion and youth empowerment.
- A broadcast or digital media creative with insight into platforms and audiences.
- Someone with lived experience of neurodivergence who’s worked in media and wants to support authentic storytelling.
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Help us shape our stories in a way that’s engaging, ethical, and aligned with our values.
- Identify the kinds of media (local, national, specialist, digital) where our work could be featured.
- Support us with writing or reviewing press materials (press releases, op-eds, human interest stories, etc.).
- Provide introductions or connections, or advise us on approaching journalists or editors.
- Help us build a basic strategy to raise awareness over time in a sustainable way.
