About The Role

Our Food and Beverage department are a key part in providing our passengers with a smooth and positive journey through our airport. Our Kitchen Porters play a pivotal part in the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring that our passengers are sent off on their travels satisfied. Day to day, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and all preparation areas.
  • Cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery, and utensils.
  • Storing dishes and utensils.
  • Supporting the Chef with food and dessert preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
  • Organising the stock room.
  • Embodying the Airports 'One Team' culture and understanding that there may be times when you are required to undertake other activities to support the needs of the business.

You understand that the Airport is in operation 24/7, so you may be scheduled and expected to work any shift during operating hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

To undertake this role, you need the following skills:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience working in a kitchen would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of food safety.
