A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Utility Surveyor to join a growing and ambitious surveying business based in South Yorkshire. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive starting salary with excellent prospects for development and additional earnings through bonuses and overtime. The goal of the business owner is to pass on the responsibility of running the Utility Surveying department to an ambitious Senior level Utility Surveyor who is looking to progress their career. This will involve staff management, quotations and client management as the team progresses further. They have established a utility team with strong relationships with major infrastructure providers and continue to grow across the region.
As a Senior Utility Surveyor/Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering high-quality PAS128-compliant utility surveys and take the lead on a range of interesting and varied projects.
Role Responsibilities:- Lead on-site utility detection using GPR and EML methods.
- Post-process survey data and prepare detailed utility drawings using LSS, AutoCAD or equivalent.
- Ensure all deliverables meet PAS128 standards and internal quality controls.
- Collaborate with clients and site teams to communicate results and resolve queries.
- Operate robotic total stations (Leica or equivalent) where necessary.
- Take ownership of project management responsibilities including planning and technical execution.
- Level 5 QCF
- Proven ability in utility data post-processing and reporting.
- Proficient in relevant software packages (LSS, AutoCAD).
- Valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence.
- Starting salary from £38,000 per annum (salary is negotiable for the right candidate with more experience).
