The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.
We are looking for a General Manager for our Glasgow factory site.
Job Responsibilities:
- To manage the staff and all functions at the Glasgow Laundry site and achieve/exceed targets.
- Full P&L responsibility for the site.
- To prepare annual budgets for board approval, including capital expenditure recommendations.
- To ensure customer losses are minimised on site and review service levels towards continuous improvement.
- To ensure the efficient running of Production, Transport and Customer Service within agreed budgets.
- To provide operational support to the Regional Sales Team to ensure that sales opportunities are maximised.
- To ensure the safety of all employees and the safe operation of plant and equipment by maintaining the company policy on Health and Safety & COSHH requirements.
- To provide ongoing training to all staff from commencement of service and throughout their employment and ensure a regular review of their training and development.
- To foster and maintain good working relations throughout the company.
- To carry out reasonable duties commensurate with the role which may be required by the Operations Director.
Experience:
- Proven experience of operating successfully at a strategic level across the whole spectrum of factory management, with full P&L responsibilities.
- A proven track record of building effective, sustainable and meaningful relationships with the customer base.
- A successful track record of managing, leading and supporting a large management team.
Personal Style:
- Enjoys a varied and challenging role, and the ability to work effectively when under pressure to achieve deadlines and targets.
- High levels of energy and commitment and the ability to motivate others.
- A strategic and forward-thinking manager who also has a hands-on approach to running a plant.
