Would you like to join our supportive and dynamic team as a Healthcare assistant on our specialist Gastroenterology ward where we care for patients with a range of complex conditions? You will play an important and vital role in delivering high quality and person centred care. This post is fixed term for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
Main duties of the job
An opportunity for a Health Care Support Worker has arisen on our medical speciality ward at the Princess of Wales Hospital. We are looking for a reliable, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the team on the Gastroenterology ward. The individual will be required to work under the direction of the registered nurse, ensuring that high standards of care are provided and maintained at all times. The applicant will be expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills along with the ability to use their own initiative. Flexibility regarding shift patterns is essential. In addition, experience working with the elderly who may have complex physical and cognitive needs is desirable, however training will be provided for the successful applicant.
