We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a well-established and forward-thinking engineering company based in Havant, UK. This is a great opportunity for a skilled machinist looking to take the next step in their career with a company that values quality, safety, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be joining a collaborative team environment with long-term stability and development potential.
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Thursday: 14:30 – 22:30 (½ hour lunch)
- Friday: 12:30 – 20:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set CNC machines (Mazak preferred)
- Follow health and safety policies at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards)
- Meet production targets and deadlines
- Ensure quality and process compliance
- Cross-train and support team flexibility
- Assist with training others when needed
Requirements:
- GCSEs or equivalent
- Time-served apprenticeship (preferred)
- Experience in engineering/manufacturing
- Experience of CNC machining
- Milling and turning experience (preferred)
- Able to read engineering drawings and CNC code (G-code/Mazatrol)
- Familiar with Mazak machines
- Experience with offline programming (Edgecam, Mastercam, Mazatrol) is a plus
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office
