The School of Health Sciences is seeking a Research Fellow to work on an NIHR-funded project to undertake a realist review of evidence into supporting oncology staff with genomic testing information. The review aims to develop evidence-based recommendations to increase genomic referral rates, enhance preventative care, and reduce late cancer diagnoses.

This position is ideal for a post-doctoral health services researcher or social scientist experienced in realist reviews, preferably with knowledge of genomics, cancer, or the NHS workforce. The researcher will be supported by co-PIs Dr Ruth Abrams and Dr Chris Jacobs, along with the wider research team.

The successful candidate will have skills in realist methodology, qualitative research, and project management. They should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and contribute to a remote team. Responsibilities include data collection, extraction, synthesis, and supporting the final report and dissemination materials.
