Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Class 2 HGV / LGV Cat C Skip and Roll on Roll off Drivers to join our team in Nottingham. You will deliver, pick up and exchange skip/rollonoffs and/or trade/FEL bins within different environments ensuring excellent customer service. The shift pattern is 15:00 to 00:45.
Key Responsibilities
- Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
- Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
- Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
- Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
- The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
- Ensuring skips placed on the road have a road permit, and lights and cones are placed around the skip as detailed in Company procedures.
- Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company's safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
- Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
