Our Client Support Services department have an opportunity for a Pro Rata Technician. This is available on a hybrid basis, offering home working for 2 days a week, with the other 3 days based in our office in Witham.
As a Pro Rata Technician, you will support our client base through transactional processing, securing reinsurance recoveries through timely and accurate system entry. - From May until the 29th of August, Guy Carpenter offers flexible ‘Finish Early Friday’ working hours, allowing employees to finish at 1PM on Fridays (providing your schedule and workload allow).
We will rely on you to:
- Manage an assigned client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts.
- Work with Market Fiduciary to assist with collection of funds.
- Manage all Pro Rata post, brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e-trading, ad hoc reporting requests, and all transactional process steps. This is inclusive of renewals.
- Promote, build and maintain relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets.
- Participate in training sessions and provide input within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service processing to assist with troubleshooting.
What you need to have:
- Insurance/Reinsurance Premium/Claims experience, ie; handling cash loss/large loss and a desire to move into the Reinsurance sector.
- Competent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of technical account structure.
- Successful management of workload; with an ability to manage expectations.

- Experience of using London Market systems such as LORS and the IMR (Insurance Market Repository).
- Knowledge of CLASS system is useful for review of London market queries.
