We are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to join our established team based in Rochdale. As Operations Manager at Latham Timber Manufacturing, Rochdale, you will run an efficient operation including a state of the art mill & manufacturing plant plus transport, to achieve a high level of customer service. Experience of running a timber mill/manufacturing plant will be an advantage but not essential.

You will be responsible for overseeing the operational team by managing department heads and supervisors. Health and Safety is a priority, and you will be required to ensure the team adhere to company policies as well as liaise with our Health and Safety Manager to consider any improvements, whilst organising and delivering training.

You will be responsible for arranging and reviewing maintenance of all capital equipment and site infrastructure, such as saws, moulders, spray lines, combis, racks, shutters, concrete, etc., and utilities.

You will need to be highly motivated, organised and enthusiastic, have excellent people management skills and enjoy working as part of a team, whilst also being able to manage your own workload. You will need to understand the regulations relating to a manufacturing plant, commercial drivers and be good with IT.
