Based onsite at Rolls-Royce LDC centre Derby, the role involves working either 7am - 1pm or 10am - 4pm, Monday to Friday.
As a Switchboard Operator at JLL, you will be the vital first point of contact for our client Rolls-Royce and colleagues, ensuring seamless communication across our organisation. In this role, you will manage incoming calls with professionalism and efficiency while embodying our commitment to exceptional service. Your contribution as the voice of JLL will directly impact our clients' experience and our collective success.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring all guests receive an excellent welcome and consistently delivering great service.
- Answering calls promptly and dealing with queries efficiently.
- Maintaining professional email etiquette, including answering and directing emails via the Switchboard.
- Knowing the switchboard and the information available.
- Handling guest complaints and providing swift solutions or escalating as appropriate.
- Vetting calls to ensure no unnecessary calls get through to departments and personnel.
- Attending training courses organised by JLL.
- Carrying out ad hoc requests made by Client Management.
- Responding to executive requests as a priority.
- Reporting any faults in the Switchboard area.
- Assisting in any other reasonable duties as required by colleagues, Managers, or clients.
- Communicating professionally with residents of the building and the client, always providing a 5-star level of service.
- Using a computer as an effective communication tool, inputting data as requested into Excel and Word documents.
Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with clear English pronunciation.
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Professional telephone etiquette.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
