General Dynamics in St Leonards-on-Sea currently provide avionic mission computing systems for a wide range of military fast jets, helicopters, and UAVs. Recent success has resulted in General Dynamics developing the next generation of Advanced High Performance, Safety Critical Mission Computer Systems to meet the needs of latest platforms in development by several aircraft manufacturers. These Mission Computing Systems provide the functionality that integrates aircraft systems, sensor systems and stores management systems with the information and control systems required by the aircrew to meet the demanding operational needs of these aircraft.
You will be joining an established team who provide administrative and practical support to maintain our Hastings facilities. Involved in supporting the successful delivery of various facilities and cross functional project works whilst maintaining robust records management and department administration.
Day To Day Activities May Include:
- Maintain administration of facilities and Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) records, reports and compliance certifications
- Management of the Facilities & SHE shared mailboxes
- Raising and organization of requisitions and receipting POs; act as point of contact for Accounts Payable
- Provide escort as required to third party facilities and SHE contractors
- Support delivery of desk moves and space management initiative
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Educated to GCSE level
- Knowledge and working capability with MS packages
- Interest in building facilities management and maintenance schemes
- Ability to problem solve and multitask
- Effective communicator, able to adapt style and build strong working relationships internally at various levels as well as externally, e.g. contractors and external agencies
Desirable:
- Trade or tools experience beneficial but not essential
- Working Safely or equivalent beneficial but not essential
