We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Unit Manager for an amazing Elderly Care Home in the Widnes area. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who thrives in a hands-on role, supporting both staff and residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high-quality care and compliance.
  • Drive quality governance, ensuring proactive problem identification and resolution.
  • Oversee staff development, supervision, and performance management to maintain consistency.
  • Implement turnaround strategies to improve care standards and achieve a positive CQC outcome.
  • Support with on-call duties, including covering occasional night and weekend shifts when required.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience in a residential care setting.
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations, quality governance, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Experience in turnaround environments, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage challenging environments, support change, and establish new structures.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
