Caltech Lifts are a family run lift and stairlift engineering business operating from its head office in Dundee and covering all of Scotland. We are now in our 45th year of business and due to continued success and expansion we are currently recruiting for several positions. The Role:

We are seeking one full-time Experienced Lift Installation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing passenger lifts, disabled access lifts, and goods lifts. They will also be required to complete lift modernisation work and at times carrying out heavy repairs to lifts within our service portfolio. The successful candidates will work on both building sites and within existing live buildings. This role may even suit an experienced lift maintenance engineer who wishes to change to installations and come off on call rota.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing a range of passenger lifts, disabled access lifts, and goods lifts in client's buildings.
  • Completing lift modernisation work to bring lifts up to current standards.
  • Carrying out heavy lift repairs as and when required.
  • Working with the office team to schedule workloads and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all work carried out and materials used.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in the installation of electric traction and hydraulic lifts.
  • NVQ 3 / SVQ 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent.
  • A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues quickly and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • A full, clean driving license.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
