Your Role

You will work within the Road logistics healthcare operational team who are handling road logistics shipments for healthcare customers, ensuring all necessary operational duties and functions are in accordance with customer-specific working instructions, and standard operating procedures. This ensures excellence in road freight import, export, cross-trade, and domestic distribution operations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Request and negotiate rates with hauliers, ensuring the best price and solutions are gained quickly for spot quotations.
  • Provide competitive quotations for effective solutions in a timely manner to customer services, and at times directly to customers, through the utilization of our haulier base and own network.
  • Request and negotiate rates with hauliers for set lanes quotations, awarding business to hauliers when the business is secured.
  • Ensure that the transport planning is completed and pass the correct details to the relevant warehouse team – EMG/HSCC/Chapeltown/Partner warehouses.
  • Create manifests in QCL to send to hauliers, ensuring all details are received and correct prior to sending.
  • Work closely with Kuehne+Nagel European healthcare offices in order to arrange groupage shipments.
  • Book in collections/deliveries where required.
