The Role

Are you an experienced digital marketer with a strong strategic knowledge of SEO? Thanks to some exciting client wins and some big growth plans for the year to come, we’re looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and hardworking SEO Strategist to join our team, and help support the continued development and growth of Impression’s SEO offering. This is an excellent opportunity to carve out a name for yourself at an award-winning digital marketing agency while working with like-minded and experienced search engine specialists.

The SEO Strategist role sits within the SEO department and is responsible for devising and executing strategies for a number of accounts across Impression’s client portfolio. In addition, the successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting across a range of internal initiatives including process improvement & new business opportunities.

We’re looking for someone with an in-depth strategic understanding of SEO across all its facets, a team player and someone who is constantly pushing the boundaries of best practice. Given the nature of this role, we are looking for candidates with a proven track record in delivering SEO results across a range of verticals. Whilst we typically expect candidates to have a minimum of 3+ years experience in an SEO-specific role for this application, successful candidates will be chosen based on skill and track record.

To be considered for the SEO Strategist role at Impression, you will need to:

  • Have demonstrable experience in creating, managing and executing successful SEO campaigns across a range of industries and verticals.
  • Strong commercial awareness, using performance and activity reporting to demonstrate tangible ROI for clients while working within each client’s business model.
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience and the ability to build strong and lasting relationships with clients.
  • Have experience communicating SEO strategy to senior business stakeholders.
  • Have a developed understanding of the role organic search can play within broader digital strategy.
  • Experience managing delivery teams and delegating work effectively.

Desirable experience

  • Agency experience is highly beneficial for this role.
  • Experience across a number of verticals and industry segments, including lead generation and e-commerce will aid your application.
  • Having language skills is an advantage, but not essential.

Core Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage a portfolio of key SEO clients, utilising the wider team to deliver high-quality strategies across multiple markets that deliver tangible results and ROI.
  • Support channel owners of high-tier accounts if required by proactively contributing to strategy and more complex deliverables.
  • Work closely with our commercial team to develop and deliver new business SEO proposals.
  • Establish yourself as a thought leader both within the agency and externally. This will include developing training materials and educating our existing team and will extend to supporting Impression’s marketing efforts through tactics such as blogging and white paper creation.
