A superb Financial Controller position has arisen in a growing Fashion Retail business based near Kingston Upon Thames.

Michael Page Finance are delighted to be partnering a leading, high growth Fashion Retail / E-commerce business based near Kingston Upon Thames. The business has had double digit growth via acquisitions and new product categories. Founded in the mid 80's, the business has a rich heritage and has had strong sales growth across store, e-commerce, wholesale and third party and is positioned to grow further in the coming years. Bucking the trend in the retail sector, the business turnover circa £120m, has increased profit by 40% and is continuing to invest to drive growth.

As part of the growth, the business is looking to hire a Financial Controller.

Description

  • Oversee and manage all financial reporting and accounting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for the organisation.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making.
  • Monitor cash flow and implement effective financial controls.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team.

Profile

  • A recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams within the accounting and finance department.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in the retail industry or a similar sector is advantageous.

Job Offer
