Our client, a manufacturing business in Burnley, seek to appoint a Buyer to their supply chain team to ensure externally sourced components are ordered from the most appropriate source after consideration of price, quality, delivery times and service support. The appointed buyer will be joining a successful business with an excellent atmosphere and a flexible approach.

Buyer – Role and Responsibilities – Procurement, Purcashing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing

– Identify, source and purchase timber products to ensure products are manufactured in line with business requirements (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Value Add)
– Responsible for managing a large range of products from the initial order, communicating with suppliers and monitoring delivery schedules
– Collation of information to help produce monthly KPIs
– Promoting Lean Initiatives such as 6S and Internal Customer ensuring your team are provided with, and pass on, work of the required standard
– Use your own experience / initiative to solve manufacturing and assembly problems with the supply chain
