At Ormiston Forge Academy, we seek a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA1 or TA2, depending on qualifications and experience) to join our Success for Learning team. Whether you're an experienced practitioner or early in your career, we offer a role filled with purpose, professional development, and the opportunity to become a valued member of our community.
The successful candidate will work closely with students requiring additional support, both in the classroom and within our Success Centre, playing a vital role in helping students reach their potential by:
- Supporting teaching and learning for individuals or small groups
- Assisting with classroom delivery and interventions
- Monitoring student progress and behaviour
- Supporting reintegration and behaviour plans
- Building strong, trusting relationships with students, staff, and families
Your work will be guided by the SENCO and Success Centre Leaders and will be delivered across various settings, including mainstream classes, withdrawal sessions, and learning hubs.
Requirements:
- GCSE Grade A to C or Grade 4 or above passes in maths and English
- Qualified to Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning
- At least 1 year of classroom support experience is desirable
