Manpower is recruiting a Medical Secretary on behalf of our public sector client. Are you an experienced medical secretary with strong audio typing skills and a background in healthcare administration? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected public sector organisation for a Band 4-level Medical Secretary to provide high-level secretarial support to clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to senior medical staff
  • Accurately transcribe letters and correspondence using audio/digital dictation (BigHand)
  • Maintain and update patient records and appointment schedules
  • Handle telephone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Manage diaries, arrange meetings, and prepare relevant documentation

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a secretary, ideally within a public sector or healthcare setting
  • Proficient in audio typing and digital dictation systems
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask and maintain confidentiality
