Our client designs and manufactures a range of advanced industrial and scientific equipment for use in global manufacturing industries. We are currently seeking a Senior Software/Electronics Engineer to join a multi-disciplined team working in their Central Bristol R&D lab. Skills and qualifications sought will include: – Experience in embedded firmware development, C – Experience in use of Matlab/Simulink – Degree qualified in electronics or closely related discipline – Strong analogue, SMPS and power design skills useful – Experienced in multi-layer PCB design – Experience in design for product compliance and regulatory approvals – Overall product design experience and design for manufacture, DFM – Excellent communication, report writing and interpersonal skills Key Responsibilities: – Working with a cross-functional team to progress concepts and prototypes to full manufacture – Development, verification and validation of software and electronics in accordance with relevant standards – Support the design and development of test equipment – Maintain a \’state of the art\’ knowledge of new and applicable technologies through research and training.
