The Event Health and Safety Specialist will provide general project coordination in support of the execution and implementation of the Global Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Team. This includes overseeing projects, programs, processes, safety policies, best practices, and tasks associated with these initiatives, ultimately achieving full compliance with local, state, federal, and company regulations.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Act as the lead for emergency response, fire safety, and contractor compliance
- Write Event Safety Management Plans, Risk Assessments, and associated appendices for a variety of events
- Support event operations by reviewing RAMS, issuing work permits, and advising on CDM
- Lead health & safety policies, procedures, and compliance
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and manage incident reporting systems
- Serve as the lead Health & Safety Specialist on-site for large events
- Lead onsite Emergency Response planning and protocol
- Undertake dynamic risk assessments during live events
- Audit suppliers by reviewing sub-contractor and caterer RAMS and insurances
- Conduct on-site Safety Inspections and Risk Mitigation Audits
- Coordinate with management and employees to increase awareness and engagement of safety programs
- Develop and deliver safety training programs and materials to educate employees on safe work practices and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with management, supervisors, and employees to implement safety improvement initiatives
- Conduct emergency response drills
- Support the Global Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Team with EHS process implementation and oversight
- Update safety manuals, SOPs, and related documents for business partners
- Perform baseline EHS assessments across the organization and with business partners
What You Will Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant Environmental, Health, and Safety field strongly preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Accredited qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in health & safety management within events or hospitality
- Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations, risk assessment, and emergency planning
- Familiarity with EMEA safety regulations
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with systems such as Enablon, ENHESA, Hexagon, and Tableau
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and organization
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Quick learner with the ability to master new technologies
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment
