Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver insight-driven thinking across paid, owned, earned and shared channels.
  • Lead the creation and evolution of planning frameworks, measurement plans, and campaign strategies.
  • Develop strategic narratives that connect data with creative opportunity and media rationale.
  • Ensure media and creative recommendations are rooted in comms strategy and effectiveness thinking.
  • Provide strategic leadership and planning support on new business pitches and major projects.
  • Take on a specialism within comms strategy (e.g. attention, measurement, audience behaviours) to champion internally and externally.
  • Act as a key strategic contact for multiple client relationships — some hands-on, some advisory.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with senior clients, rooted in business understanding and strategic value.
  • Facilitate integrated working across agency partners, particularly creative and media.
  • Guide and run campaign planning processes with clients, adapting approach to suit individual client styles.
  • Understand clients’ broader business models and commercial contexts, tailoring strategy accordingly.

Key Requirements

  • Comfortable working closely with creative and media partners to bring strategies to life.
  • Confident client lead — able to adapt approach, influence decisions, and lead campaign planning processes.
  • Skilled in coaching others, providing strategic guidance, and developing team members.
  • Proficient in using planning tools such as GWI, TGI, YouGov, and interpreting audience and performance data.
  • Strong communicator and presenter — with polished slides and clear storytelling.
  • High level of comfort with Excel/Google Sheets for data work.
  • An openness to using AI tools to enhance strategic input and research.
  • A genuine interest in ongoing learning — from comms theory to cultural trends.
