A growing Managed Service Provider is looking for an experienced 3rd Line Support Engineer to join its technical team. The company delivers high-quality IT support and consultancy services to a diverse range of clients across the UK. This opportunity has arisen due to continued growth in both its client base and project workload.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and networking, with experience working in a fast-paced MSP environment. This is a hands-on role that will involve acting as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues, as well as playing a key part in delivering projects such as Cyber Essentials Plus renewals, MDM rollouts, and infrastructure improvements.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues from the 1st and 2nd line teams.
- Deliver advanced troubleshooting across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking, and security platforms.
- Lead and support on a variety of projects.
- Implement and maintain security best practices across client environments.
- Work with account managers to scope, plan and implement technical solutions for clients.
- Previous experience in a 3rd Line or senior technical support role within an MSP environment.
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles, frameworks, and technologies (e.g. Cyber Essentials, MFA, antivirus/EDR platforms, firewalls).
- Hands-on experience with MDM platforms and deployments (e.g. Microsoft Intune, Mosyle).
- Proficient in networking concepts and technologies including firewalls, VPNs, switching, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure AD.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a client-focused approach.
- Able to work independently on technical projects while supporting and mentoring junior team members.
