We are looking out for a Midweight FF&E Designer to join the team of a globally renowned interiors consultancy, celebrated for its high-end, meticulously crafted hospitality projects. Specialising in large-scale, luxury hotels around the world, this design studio is known for pushing creative boundaries and delivering exceptional quality. Their mission is to create designs that inspire and make a positive impact on everyone who experiences them.
We are looking for a creative and proactive individual who will contribute to the development of our clients' projects from concept through to completion. Working closely with Directors, Associates, and Project Leads, you will help shape the creative vision for each project.
You will be involved in design research during the concept development phase, which includes tasks such as sourcing mood imagery and gathering site-specific information. You will also assist in developing the materiality of projects by researching materials, ordering samples, meeting with suppliers, and visiting showrooms.
As part of the team, you will help produce concept materials, including presentation documents and material boards. You will also support the production of CGIs by coordinating and supplying design information to external consultants.
Furniture and fabric research and selection will be part of your responsibilities, along with drawing up FF&E specifications, producing drawings, and preparing detailed production documentation. This includes creating plans that are fully coordinated with input from other consultants.
You will review samples, strike-offs, and shop drawings to ensure they meet design intent and project specifications. You may also be required to attend factory visits, prototype reviews, and on-site installations.
We are looking for someone with a good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with AutoCAD and SketchUp is advantageous. Strong freehand sketching skills are highly desirable.
