School Art/DT Technician based in Bromley.

At Engage Education Services, we’ve built up strong relationships with the fantastic Secondary schools in Bromley, and we are currently recruiting for an Art/DT Technician.

Art/DT Technician responsibilities include:

  • Prepare practical equipment and other materials for lessons before their start time.
  • Clean and tidy classrooms after lessons have taken place.
  • Maintain equipment, resources and classroom equipment.
  • Wash up, clean equipment and pack away appropriately.
  • Carry out stock takes of equipment and resources making a list of materials/supplies for reordering when they are running low.
  • Support teachers with material preparation and assist before, during and at the end of lessons.
  • Ensure escape routes are kept clear of obstructions.
  • Ensure rooms are prepared at least 10 minutes before the lesson is due to start.
  • Sort waste materials into the correct boxes.
  • Keep the store cupboards clean, clear of clutter and organised.
  • If a teacher is absent, ensure that the correct equipment is available in their room at the right time as per their cover lesson notes.
  • Assist teaching staff and pupils in practical work when required.

About you:

  • Experience working in a school environment as an Art/DT Technician.
  • A relevant undergraduate degree.
  • A passion for working in a school environment.
