Job Purpose
Oversee day to day digital content protection efforts for Banijay Rights and wider group alongside VP Digital and Digital Operations Director.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support efforts to ensure Banijay Rights catalogue is protected across digital platforms, including but not limited to YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and Daily Motion
- Coordinate all aspects of our digital content protection workflows, from start to finish, including collection of reference files from Content Operations, uploading of files to the relevant CMS’s, and resolving rights conflicts with rights holders and/or Banijay’s Acquisition & Rights Management teams
- Conduct regular digital CMS health checks to ensure all digital channels maintain zero copyright infringements and Banijay’s IP is fully protected on social media
- Create best practice documents and have regular communication with local teams that conduct their own digital content protection
- Use Banijay’s internal rights system (EasyTrack) to check contracts and rights positions ahead of asserting claims
- Work alongside the Digital Content Protection Administrators to manage and coordinate workloads and prioritise daily tasks
- Prioritise and coordinate incoming content protection efforts to ensure the most pressing matters are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Lead team efficiency projects and optimise Banijay’s Content Protection workflows.
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Excellent knowledge of digital content protection and digital video platforms
- Good understanding of Meta and YouTube CMS’s and associated reports
- Understand the difference between content, copyright, trademark, and impersonation disputes and how to action accordingly on social media platforms
- Be well connected within the digital content protection industry to help expedite conflicts
- Have confidence and the ability to educate the wider business on digital content protection
- Good understanding of TV industry and how it operates
- Be able to read rights availability sheets and set geo-blocking policies on digital platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Exceptional time management with ability to effectively prioritise under pressure
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
