Join our dynamic Project Spring team as we lead the transformation of our SAP ECC landscape to SAP S4 Hana, driving innovation and efficiency across our finance operations. As Finance Manager – Tax Reporting, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our new platform meets all statutory and management tax reporting requirements. This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of a major finance transformation, working closely with third-party suppliers, internal finance teams, and the M&S Tax team to deliver a modern, fit-to-standard solution.
To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What You’ll Do
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Lead the delivery of all functional tax reporting requirements within the S4 implementation.
- Act as the key liaison between external suppliers and the M&S Tax team.
- Define and resolve tax reporting queries with third-party partners.
- Identify and implement improvements in tax reporting processes, controls, and documentation.
- Support the creation of training materials and process documentation.
- Champion Finance Transformation across the wider business.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include:
- Proven experience implementing tax reporting in a new ERP system.
- Familiarity with SAP S4 Hana.
- Strong understanding of tax law and reporting, especially Indirect Tax (VAT, Customs, Excise).
- Experience with UK and international tax reporting, ideally in a retail environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tax reporting systems.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Ability to simplify complex information and influence business partners.
- A proactive, collaborative teammate with a continuous improvement attitude.
