This is a career-defining opportunity for a seasoned engineer with a strong background in Kubernetes, Linux, and cloud-native technologies to step into a Technical Lead role that blends hands-on engineering with strategic project leadership.

About the Role

As a Technical Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge solutions to enterprise clients. You’ll split your time between:

  • 50% hands-on engineering – deploying, scaling, and supporting customer environments using Kubernetes, Linux, and modern DevOps tooling.
  • 50% leadership & project management – overseeing multiple deployments, managing a small team, and ensuring successful delivery of complex technical projects.

You’ll be the go-to expert for all things Kubernetes and Linux, guiding both customers and internal teams through the deployment and integration of cloud-native solutions at the edge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end deployment of customer environments using Kubernetes and Linux.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on cloud-native technologies, providing technical leadership across projects.
  • Collaborate directly with enterprise customers to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues.
  • Build and maintain lab environments and Proof of Concept (PoC) setups.
  • Mentor and manage a junior engineer, supporting their technical growth.
  • Work closely with Sales Engineering to provide architectural guidance and technical support during pre-sales and PoC phases.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of deployment processes, tooling, and documentation.
Your Skills & Experience

We’re looking for someone who brings a strong mix of technical depth, leadership capability, and customer-facing experience:

  • Strong experience with Linux operating systems (any flavour).
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.
  • Experience leading or delivering complex technical implementations.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms – AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools – Terraform, Ansible, Helm.
  • Scripting and automation skills – Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals – DNS, DHCP, firewalls.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills – able to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

We’re keen to speak with experienced Technical Leads, Lead Engineers, Senior System Administrators, Technical Consultants, or Solutions Engineers who have a proven track record working with Kubernetes, Linux, and cloud-native technologies.

If you’re someone who thrives in a hybrid role that combines deep technical work with leadership and customer engagement, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
