Role
Recruitment for a land manager focusing on identifying, negotiating and acquiring new sites that are off market, sourced via direct approaches to landowners. You will utilise land technology to search towns and cities for suitable opportunities and then send letters to landowners directly.
You must have experience self-sourcing land and making direct approaches to land owners. Ideally, this role would suit someone from a strategic land or renewable energy background. You will work closely with internal and external consultants to manage projects through the development lifecycle. The business is well established and operates across the UK, with excellent funding lines and the ability to transact on sites quickly.
Ideally, you will currently be working for one of the leading house builders or residential property developers, but senior candidates in development consultancy are also welcome to apply.
This is a new role reporting directly to the group land director and supported by the existing land and planning team. It is expected that you will develop the pipeline of sites to a stage whereby you will recruit a couple of land buyers to work with you in the next 6-9 months.

Salary: £55k – £75k with a substantial and lucrative bonus scheme that could significantly increase total compensation (current market performance within comparable teams indicates strong bonus potential).

- Detailed understanding of the planning application and appeals process
