We are currently working with a leading offshore wind developer to appoint an Offshore Consents Manager.

You will play a key role supporting the delivery of offshore consents for over 2GW of fixed and floating wind capacity. You will be joining a dynamic and highly motivated consortium of passionate energy professionals who bring extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in the development and execution of offshore wind infrastructure.

This is a contract role based in Edinburgh or remotely.

Role

  • Support the Offshore Consent Leads in the delivery of the offshore consents and licensing requirements for over 2GW of fixed and floating offshore wind infrastructure.
  • Review of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) technical deliverables prepared by third party consultants.
  • Liaise with and coordinate external consultants where required.
  • Participate in the identification and management of consenting risks for design, construction, operation, and decommissioning.
  • Support engagement with key stakeholders (statutory consultees and key consultees) to support offshore consenting requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with project team to ensure environmental and consenting requirements are linked with design activities.

Requirements

  • Degree or Masters in relevant subject (e.g. Planning, Environmental Management)
  • Demonstrable experience supporting planning consents for offshore wind projects, either with a consultancy, utility, or a developer.
  • Good knowledge of environmental and consenting policies, regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in stakeholder management for onshore or offshore wind projects would be beneficial.
  • Excellent time management and verbal/written communication skills.
