We are Neptune; a British interiors and lifestyle brand who design and make furniture, kitchens and accessories for the whole home. We believe our designs can make life that little bit easier, happier and better - creating homes with heart. We are excited to welcome a Cash Accountant into our Finance team. You will manage all things cash-related - from monitoring daily cash positions and performing bank reconciliations, to forecasting cash flow and supporting accurate financial reporting. Your work will ensure our company always has a clear and confident picture helping drive smart decisions and strong growth.

Day to day you will keep a keen eye on daily cash positions and bank accounts, preparing and maintaining cash flow forecasts and projections, working closely with accounts payable, receivable teams, banks, and auditors. Alongside this, you will also be accountable for:

  • Managing cash transfers and overseeing petty cash procedures
  • Performing thorough and timely bank reconciliations, investigating any discrepancies
  • Generating clear and insightful cash position reports
  • Assisting in month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Identifying and implementing improvements in cash accounting processes
  • Supporting ad-hoc projects that make a real impact on our finance function

Ideally, you will be an accountant with some qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) - whether part qualified or unqualified, we are also open to supporting your growth! You will have some experience with cash management and reconciliations and be Excel-savvy, with strong skills in pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modelling. Experience with Sage or other accounting systems and banking platforms is a plus. It is important to us that you are detail-focused, accurate, and proactive in solving problems and you will be a confident communicator who builds great relationships at all levels. Although working closely with colleagues, you will also be just as comfortable working independently while juggling multiple priorities and a critical thinker with a commercial mindset and a drive to improve processes. Power BI or advanced financial reporting tools would also be an advantage along with familiarity with GAAP and technical accounting standards, although this is not essential.

You will be part of a supportive and ambitious team where your input truly matters. We value innovation, initiative, and continuous learning - and we are committed to helping you develop your career with potential exam support and plenty of opportunities to grow.

Across all locations, we stay united by our company values: Do The Right Thing, Do It Together, Aim High and Keep It Real.
