Launch your sales career in the agricultural sector while earning a degree — and be prepared to get out on the road. We’re offering a motivated and engaged individual the opportunity to join Trident Feeds (part of AB Agri) as a Business-to-Business Sales Degree Apprentice, managing your own regional sales ledger within the agricultural Feeds sector. You will combine academic study with practical sales experience, all while working towards a Level 6 B2B Sales Professional Degree — without the burden of university debt.
This is not a desk-based role. You will be expected to travel extensively across the Midlands and North of England region, meeting customers in person, building relationships, and driving sales. Some days may involve covering extensive mileage on the road, motorway driving, and overnight stays to support your customers and grow your territory.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage your own customer base, building long-term relationships with merchants and Feed Manufacturers.
- Conduct regular field visits — expect daily travel and engaging with senior decision-makers.
- Create and implement sales plans to drive growth in your area.
- Balance your time between on-the-road sales and academic study towards your degree.
- Attend industry events, shows, and training as part of your professional development.
- Stay on top of market trends and identify new business opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
- In addition to having a level 3 qualification either A levels or equivalent, the applicant must hold a level 2 qualification in English Language and Maths Grade 4/C or above.
- Self-motivated with effective communication skills and a passion for building relationships.
- Comfortable with daily driving — including long distances, motorways, and overnight stays.
- Willing and able to commit to a three-year degree apprenticeship.
- Practical agricultural experience or field sales exposure is an advantage, but not essential.
What’s In It for You:
- A fully-funded B2B Sales Degree — no student debt.
- Hands-on, real-world sales experience in a growing agricultural business.
- Competitive salary, company car, pension, and other flexible benefits.
- A structured development programme and the opportunity to grow into a Regional Sales Manager role.
Key Considerations:
- You work in a paid, full-time role while studying part-time.
- You apply what you learn at university directly to your job, reinforcing your understanding.
- We are looking for someone who shows genuine interest in the industry and the apprenticeship route.
- Someone who understands the demands of balancing work and study.
- Meets the entry requirements for the degree programme.
- Capable of handling university-level coursework alongside job responsibilities.
