The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We are currently working with a growing business that is actively recruiting for a Database Administrator to join them in their London office on a permanent basis. The role will initially focus on the company’s migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL and will then become responsible for the BAU maintenance of the database. This is a hybrid role with two days per week on-site in central London.
Key responsibilities:
- Carrying out the installation and maintenance of PostgreSQL database software
- Building and testing database objects and optimising query performance
- Ensure that all required documentation is completed and updated
- Develop an understanding of end-user issues related to database software and provide effective resolutions
- Working to Agile methodologies
Key skills and experience required:
- Extensive PostgreSQL Database Administration experience
- A track record of success working with PostgreSQL versions 13+
- PostgreSQL streaming replication, performance optimisation as well as backup, restore and recovery experience
- Strong experience in database design and coding
- Excellent documentation skills
- Experience with Oracle 19c (preferable)
- Shell scripting with Unix and Linux systems
