A well-established and friendly Chartered Accountancy firm is looking for a Tax Semi-Senior to join their growing team. The role will include preparing tax returns, supporting advisory projects, and managing your own varied portfolio of clients - with guidance and development from experienced tax colleagues. This is a great opportunity to gain more hands-on experience across areas like IHT, CGT, Income Tax and Trusts, while developing your technical knowledge and professional confidence.
Salary is up to £38,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed.
Duties- Prepare a range of personal tax computations and self-assessment tax returns
- Support senior tax staff with research, advisory work and client planning
- Liaise with clients to gather information and provide updates
- Assist with CGT, IHT, and Trust returns where required
- Handle correspondence with HMRC
- Maintain and manage your own client portfolio
- Work closely with partners and the wider team on technical assignments
- Continue developing your tax knowledge through training and on-the-job experience
This role would suit someone with a strong grounding in tax compliance who’s ready to progress, develop technically, and take more ownership of their client work. You must be able to demonstrate some previous experience in UK Accountancy Practice.
