Role Overview: As a Junior Management Accountant at EGI, you will be a central finance business partner, balancing numbers with strategy. You’ll provide insight and analysis to support business decisions, drive month-end processes, and help optimise performance across global verticals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance reports. Analyse performance across geographies and business lines (CleanTech, Tech, Value Chain). Identify opportunities, support cost control, and communicate actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Build and update rolling forecasts; challenge assumptions. Consolidate budgets at group and regional levels; compare actuals versus plan; provide narrative commentary.
- Business Partnering & Advisory: Partner with regional directors and vertical heads to translate performance data into strategic advice. Support new market entry and growth initiatives with financial modelling and commercial analysis.
- Month-End & Financial Controls: Drive timely accruals, prepayments, intercompany reconciliations, and balance sheet review. Maintain internal controls; strengthen processes across finance and operations.
- Process Improvement & Systems: Automate reporting and reporting efficiencies. Utilize or recommend ERP/BI tools to streamline data and reporting.
- Compliance: Ensure statutory and tax compliance across jurisdictions (UK, US, EU). Prepare supporting schedules and documentation as required.
Qualifications & Skills: ACA/ACCA/CIMA-qualified (or finalist); strong budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills. 2–4 years in management accounting/finance business partnering—ideally within professional services, recruitment, or multi-national matrix environments. Advanced Excel skills; ERP/BI (e.g. Xero, NetSuite, Sage, Power BI) experience is a plus. Strong communication and storytelling abilities; confident presenting to senior stakeholders. Proactive, process-minded, solution-focused. Comfortable working globally across multiple jurisdictions and currencies.
