Coopman Search and Selection are delighted to partner with an award-winning and specialist compliance and regulatory consultancy providing expert advice and products to financial institutions. This role specifically is within a team who provide support to clients in UK Payment Services.

Key responsibilities of the Manager:

  • Provide timely and consultative support to clients on the legislations and regulatory requirements around UK Payment Services, including support with license applications, conducting regulatory gap analysis and the implementation of compliance frameworks, policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining knowledge of regulations such as PSD2, Payment Services Regulations 2017 and the Electronic Money Regulations 2017.
  • Attending industry events, sharing thought pieces and creation of content to drive the firm's brand and presence forward.
  • Support with management, coaching and development of more junior team members to maintain a high standard of regulatory expertise.
  • Becoming a trusted advisor to clients to maintain relationships.
  • Maintaining an ability to adapt to new offerings and services to clients, supporting the Partner for the practice in these.

Experience required of the Manager:

  • Relevant regulatory experience in another consultancy, Payments firm or EMI with strong existing knowledge of Payments Services Regulations and Electronic Money Regulations.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse data thoroughly, conduct gap analyses, external assessments and audits for clients and being able to communicate all findings clearly and effectively.
  • Recent and relevant experience in a similar role developing and leading people and teams.
  • Have a strong attention to detail ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner.
  • Commercial acumen to understand business objectives and the alignment with the services this team provides.
  • Capable of working simultaneously on different projects, both independently and as part of a wider team.
