The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Location: Rugby, Warwickshire

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8-4.30pm (3.30pm Friday finish)

Salary: Up to £45,195k + excellent benefits

Job Role: To assist the Conformance & Reliability Supervisor in providing a detailed programme of all predictive and preventive maintenance techniques to support all business and statutory requirements with the aim of increasing equipment reliability whilst meeting safety, health, environment, production, quality, and financial targets.

Comprehensive predictive maintenance strategy for the plant that includes (but not limited to):

  • Vibration analysis
  • Oil analysis
  • Thermography
  • Wear monitoring

Comprehensive preventative maintenance strategy for the plant that includes (but not limited to):

  • Lubrication
  • Routine component replacement
  • Routine running checks

Utilise the information generated through the RCA and FMEA processes to identify areas of improvement. Generate solutions to these problems and implement them within the scope of the R&M budget. Support and enforce safe operations and maintain environmental compliance to achieve zero accidents and incidents based on UK legislation and policies to ensure continued license to operate and prevent injuries.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of a physical environment at Rugby, Kensworth & Southam through building safety into all predictive and preventative maintenance processes and procedures leading to zero harm to employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Planning and delivering a cultural environment so that the Reliability team look after themselves and other colleagues and contractors and suffer zero harm.
  • Contribute as a member of the reliability maintenance team and aid in formulating the plants maintenance strategies.
  • Develop and maintain short and long term predictive and preventative maintenance plans taking into account changes in the internal (plant) and external environment.
  • React to unforeseen events to optimize plant performance on a day-to-day basis.
  • Undertake / assist in repairs which have been highlighted using reliability techniques (Vibration / Oil analysis etc.).
  • Produce timely reports and analysis for the maintenance management team to assist decision making.
  • Support the annual plant shutdown so that plant safety and efficiency is optimized.
  • Awareness of budget constraints and offer cost effective solutions to plant reliability issues.
  • Execute the delivery of small Capital projects, ensuring these are executed in accordance with the budgets available.
  • Undertake predictive / preventative routines to high standard to ensure equipment performance and submit documentation for archive.
  • Develop a strong long term business relationship with the area coordinators.

Candidate Attributes Required:

  • A good understanding and passion for condition monitoring or reliability maintenance principles (predictive and preventative maintenance); vibration analysis, tribology, thermography, ultrasound, NDT.
  • Able to integrate into a team of mechanical, electrical and reliability technicians, communicate with supervisors, engineers and managers when they spot issues on site.
  • Open minded person that is able to look at problems holistically.
  • Their job role will require you to collect machine data using different technologies mainly, then interpret that data to understand when a machine is failing, recommend and carry out repairs. In essence close out the loop, from identifying faults and fixing faults.

Experience / Qualifications Required:

  • Understanding of Health and Safety practices in an engineering environment (which regulations to follow, keeping safe).
  • NVQ level 3 in mechanical engineering (happy if they have a NVQ level 3 in any other type of engineering but have worked with mechanical machines before) or time served apprenticeship.
  • Worked in heavy engineering industry in the past, not afraid to get dirty.
