Backed by strong financials and with a customer base in the thousands, this firm delivers workflow, compliance, tax, and payroll tools that streamline how practices serve their clients. With a growing Product team and major investment into their roadmap, this is the perfect environment for someone with hands-on practice experience who now thrives in a product or implementation capacity.
The Brief: As the business enters a new growth phase and rolls out a refreshed GTM plan, they’re looking to add a Product Specialist who brings real-world experience from an accountancy firm and a passion for product development. This is a critical role in shaping the roadmap and driving innovation for one of their core platforms.
What the position entails:
- Own the roadmap for a key practice management product, with a focus on delivering ROI and solving real customer problems
- Collaborate across Engineering, UX, Sales, Support and Marketing to define and launch features
- Regularly speak to accounting firm clients and internal stakeholders to gather feedback, validate pain points, and guide product strategy
- Run competitive and market analysis to inform product priorities
- Support product launches, go-to-market plans, and internal enablement
- Track product performance and usage to recommend iterative improvements
- Be the subject matter expert internally for anything related to accounting workflow, compliance, and client lifecycle management
Requirements:
- You’ve worked in an accountancy practice and understand how firms really operate (must-have)
- 3+ years’ experience in a product-focused or implementation role – e.g. Product Specialist, Product Owner, Software Consultant, Implementation Consultant
- Experience with accounting software, tax platforms, or practice management tools
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Strong communicator – able to align internal teams and champion the voice of the customer
- A tech-savvy problem-solver with a commercial mindset and collaborative nature
